Week 3 Seaside

What an awesome sunset. I love Seaside Park, Bridgeport, CT. During the summer, my husband and I watch the sunset almost every night. I love sitting under a shade tree and taking in the beauty of the sky. This particular sky line was awesome, wish you all were there to experience it. The water glistened like diamonds in the dark.

week 2 - Hollywood

Week 2 - Downtown LA

Week 2 - Assignment: Downtown

I strolled along the downtown region of my hometown of Milford, CT and took a few shots of various areas. I really could not come up with my 2 best photographs because I took so many and a lot of them were good. I put the 2 best ones on top, though. I particularly like the under the cars shot because it paints a simple picture of what a city is all about while showing a nice line of focus to the viewer. I have uploaded and will be uploading more shots that I took of my town on Fotothing.

Composition

Took some pictures at Choate in Wallingford and Yale in New Haven.

Week 2 - Composition

These were taken in Wallingford. There is an industrial area by the train tracks. Really interesting images.

Week 2-Downtown

Being a resident of Branford, I ventured down to the Branford Point to explore the different lines I could capture. I chose these two images as my favorite, especially the bench on the left. I loved the way the lines kind of reminded me of a tunnel. I chose the image on the right because of its simplicity and for the shape it takes. The weather was overcast when I shot these, and there are some more images on my fotothing page: http://www.fotothing.com/jliseo
I hope you enjoy!!

Week 2- Composition

Here is a picture of our family's dog, Coco.
And to the right, is a picture taken in Norwalk of about fifty steps.

Week 3 - water

Unfortunately I wasn't able to get to the beach, so I went a local lake. The water was fairly calm except for one spot I found where there was some movement.

Week 3 - By the Sea

I had such a good time at the beach I must have taken over a hundred snapshots. The top left is the original photo and I added a filter to the same image below it which gave the photo a dark and gloomy look. I zoomed into the wave while it was building up to the peak of formation creating a beautiful circuliar line form and into the final crash at the end of its flow.

The Rock formation on the left photo reminds me of Mammoth Hot Spring Terraces in Yellowstone National Park. I zoomed into the two tidal pool photos. I like the formation of the ocean water coming in over the rocks. The water is clear enough to see the rock beneath it and it looks like a miniture waterfall. Lastly, the shadow of the bottom tidal pool looks more like a river running between to mountains. You can see more of my images on http://www.fotothing.com/Naniki/
